More than 100 students, staff and industry professionals attended the annual RMIT University and Advertising Institute of Australasia (AIA) graduation celebration on 18 February at the Athenaeum Club.

This long-standing annual event is organised by the AIA to allow the industry to show its support of advertising education and to recognise the outstanding group of talented graduates who will be future practitioners.Jeremy Hope

The advertising industry sends along its key decision-makers to size up potential recruits, making the event a great networking opportunity for industry and graduates alike.

“It is wonderful to see media, advertising agencies and advertisers working together to celebrate the achievements of our graduates,” Caryl Hertz, Industry Group Manager, Business TAFE School, said.

“Even when members of the industry change careers or employers, they still find a way to support RMIT.”

There were 35 graduates from the Advanced Diploma of Advertising in 2009.
